Knox County Civil War Project
Welcome to the Knox County Civil War Project. The goal of this project it to give a thumbnail profile of every Civil War veteran who lived in Knox County. This will include both men who enlisted from Knox County and men who moved here after the war. This study is broken down into Towns, Townships, and Knox County itself for those that I am unable to fix into a town or township.
Cemetery interments will be treated as residents of the nearest town or of the township it is located in. This project was started in April of 2018 and my goal for completion is 2025. However a project like this is never truly complete as there is always another lone soldier waiting to be found.
